2024 Bethel Scholarship Application

Bethel Korean Presbyterian Church is accepting scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 academic year from students in pursuit of higher education, as provided below.


Scholarship Purpose
Bethel Korean Presbyterian Church has established its annual scholarship program to help qualified full-time students achieve their academic goals by offering financial assistance towards educational expenses. Through this scholarship program, Bethel seeks to use its blessings to be a blessing to the surrounding community both locally and beyond.


Scholarship Selection: Scholarship awards will be based on financial need, personal statement and written essay responses, reference recommendations, and strength of academic standing.

 

Application Deadline: Applications will be accepted through 11:59 pm EDT, April 1, 2024.

 

Applicant Categories:

  1. Graduating High School Seniors: Graduating high school seniors from Maryland who will be enrolled as full-time students for the 2024-2025 academic year either in a Community College or 4-year College within the US are invited to apply.

  2. College Students: Full-time undergraduate college students within the US currently enrolled in a degree program and expect to be enrolled through the 2024-2025 academic year, who are in good academic standing (GPA > 2.7), are invited to apply.

  3. Seminary Students: Full-time seminarians currently enrolled in a seminary within the US and expected to be enrolled through the 2024-2025 academic year are invited to apply.

Scholarship Amounts
College Study: 1 year, $1000
Seminary Study: 1 year, $2000

 

Application Period: February 12, 2024 - April 1, 2024

 

Application Method: Online at bethelchurch.org/scholarship (no postal mail please)

 

Award Notification: The selected students will be notified on or about May 15, 2024, via email.
The selected students are:

  • Required to submit proof of current enrollment (or upcoming enrollment, for current high school students) in their colleges/seminaries within the United States.

  • Asked to send a short video acknowledging their acceptance of the scholarship awards.

벧엘교회는 고등 교육을 추구하는 학생들을 위한 2024-2025 학년도 장학금 신청을 받고 있습니다.
 

장학금 목적
벧엘교회는 매년 장학 프로그램을 시행하여 여러 여건들 속에서 최선을 다해 공부하고자 하는 귀한 학생들이 학업 목표를 달성할 수 있도록 교육 경비에 대한 재정 지원을 제공하고 있습니다. 벧엘교회는 이 장학금을 통해 축복이 이 지역사회에 전해지길 소망합니다.


장학생 선발: 장학생은 재정적인 필요, 자기 소개서, 서술형 에세이, 추천서, 학업 성취도 등을 기준으로 선발됩니다.
 

접수마감: 2024년 4월 1일 오후 11:59 (미국 동부 시간)
 

​신청대상:

  • 고등학생: 메릴랜드에서 졸업하는 고등학생으로 2024-2025 학년도에 풀타임으로 미국내 2년제 또는 4년제 대학에 등록할 예정인 학생

  • 대학생: 미국 내에서 풀타임으로 현재 학사 과정을 밟고 있으며, 2024-2025 학년도에 등록할 예정으로, 학업 성적이 양호한 학생 (GPA > 2.7)

  • 신학대학원생: 미국내 풀타임 신학원생으로 2024-2025 학년도에 등록할 예정인 학생

 

장학금액:
일단 대학교: 1년, $1,000
신학 대학원: 1년, $2,000

지원방법: 온라인 접수 https://bethelchurch.org/scholarship (우편접수 불가)
 

수여공지: 장학생으로 선발되시는 분들께는 2024년 5월 15일경에 이메일을 통해 개별 통보될 예정이며, 선발되신 분들은 다음의 자료를 요청받게 됩니다.

  • 현재 미국내 대학에 등록하고 있음을 증명하는 서류 (고등학생의 경우 다음 학기 등록 관련 서류)

  • 장학금 수상에 관한 짧은 소감 동영상
